Your home is probably your largest investment and you know it is well worth the time and effort to take care of it. Power washing can increase your homes curb appeal which reflects on your image. Cleaning the exterior of your home and property can also increase its value, but it can be a daunting task. Finding a professional contractor that offers power washing services can be well worth the effort and cost. A reputable contractor will have the proper knowledge, equipment, and cleaners necessary to do the job properly and in a timely fashion. The end result for you is a well maintained home, free of dirt, mold, and mildew which will cause rot and decay. Having these services done eliminates the risk of future repairs, renovations, and replacements of the building materials that make up your home. Whether you’re a do-it-yourselfer or looking to hire a contractor, taking care of your homes exterior helps to protect your largest investment.

Pressure washers can be used to clean decks, clean home exteriors, detail automobiles, clean commercial buildings and driveways. If one market is already saturated, consider focusing your business on another area., i.e., commercial property versus residential.Purchase your equipment. The cost of a pressure washer can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars, depending on its pounds per square inch and whether it operates on gas or electricity. Many electric pressure washers aren't as powerful as their gas-powered counterparts, but using electric units means that your business won't suffer from fluctuating gas prices nearly as much.

I have an electric power washer at home, and it has managed most of the tasks that I have needed. However, I have not attempted some task (i.e cleaning my roof). I think there are some great DIY projects to be done with the power washer, but some should be left to the professionals.
I am thinking about looking for someone on angie's list. Has anyone ever looked there to find a contractor?

I know a few that have used Craigslist but not Angie's. I think every homeowner should be careful in who they hire. Ask questions like how long have you been in business? What is your washing process? Do you have insurance? Do you have references?
