Hi,
We are a startup company wishing to start the 'cleanvertising' technique in our city i.e. creating adverts on street surface by cleaning out an image/logo/message using water under high pressure over a stencil.

Kindly advise on the most appropriate pressure range(bars)/water flow rate/nozzle size for this kind of work to enable us acquire the right kind of equipment, and detergents if necessary. We are currently considering the karcher 1050 DE but we are not sure if its pressure/water flow rate is the most appropriate since we have not done this before.

Regards,
Djodj

Example of such work done in other cities is available here:

You may want to visit the "pressure washing equipment" forum, I think you might find it helpful.

Those are some pretty neat looking pictures, it's definitely a very unique service.

Thanks,
Have visited the pressure cleaning equipment forum but it is difficult to get adequate info to help me pinpoit on the most appropriate parameters i should look for in a machine to perform our work.
Maybe based on your experience you would recommend a machine that can clean the concrete pavements to their original colour to leave a contrast with the dirty sorrounding. An example that appears adequate is in the photo you have posted under before and after under the following link:

For professional concrete cleaning I would recommend an 8gpm belt driven skid unit. This will give you a lot of water flow for speed and efficiency and also hot water.

I would also recommend the 30" big guy surface cleaner. With the 8gpm you'll certainly have enough flow to run a big surface cleaner like that. You'll be cleaning a 30" path at a time.

This is the setup I use to clean driveways and sidewalks. Now as far as the work you are wanting to do maybe you don't need the surface cleaner being you are only cleaning within a stencil. You might try a roto nozzle with an adjustable wand so you can control the pressure.

Bob over at pressure tek can hook you up with everything you need.

I love the pictures. That's some pretty clever advertising. I hope you are able to drum up some business this way. Best wishes in your startup.
