I just wrote a short article about The Importance Of Gutter Cleaning in St. Louis.
Not only is it important to keep gutters cleaned in the St. Louis area, but it is also important in Indiana and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina as well. |

That is an excellent article Don.
Have you ever gotten a call to free up an ice dam in the winter time?
I know some that do it by using hot water. Like your article indicated though, preventing ice dams is why you should get your gutters cleaned a couple of times a year. |

I agree, a very good article Don.
When I was in Ohio, I was going to do the ice dam removal.
Relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC, so no need for it now. LOL |

I remember a long time ago back in Scotland where during one damn cold month, the river in the park froze up, blocking the decorative dam.
So, that froze up, and a few yards down the river, a waterway tunnel that went to the river Clyde froze up, the river in the park overflowed, it got colder, and where the river used to be was covered completely in ice. It was a real mess to clean up.
Water increases in volume when frozen, and it will cause serious damage if it's in a confined space. That dam I talked about? It's not there anymore, it's now underwater. |
