Barry, I posted this on another bbs but felt compelled to share this with you and the rest of my collegues here.

If I could, I would like to take a second and offer our sincere thanks to the contractor community for allowing the UAMCC Transition Team the latitude to transform what was an idea back in March into a realistic and tangible opportunity for us contractors today. It is due to the contractor community that the UAMCC has been able to reach the necessary plateaus that were and still are before us today.

The cornerstones of the UAMCC have taking shape and the foundation continues to be built on a transparent and prudent framework.

The first wave of benefits for the UAMCC have been finalized. The marketing depth and expertise that will be necessary to assist the UAMCC carry the message of the new voice has been secured.

Several financial models relating to the cost of membership are under close scrutiny with the sole purpose of picking the best model that serves the membership the best.

Utilizing a safe "cash flow only model" for the operating budget today is the prudent approach considering the past mishaps of previous organizations.

So all in all I am compelled to say that the UAMCC and the contractor community has stayed the course together.....kept a consistent message to and from.....and approached the overall UAMCC business structure from a realistic point of view.

Barry, I applaud you for creating this forum and we at the UAMCC consider it our pleasure to be invited here.

We trust that you and the rest of the contractor community will continue to allow the UAMCC to build a slow but steady trusting relationship in the months to come.

Carlos, I would like to THANK YOU and the transition team for the hard work, dedication, financial expence, and endless hours you guys have put in to the industry that I'm proud to be a part of.

You unselfish men are working to make, not only for me and my family,
but 1000's of others, an industry we can be proud of.

Your passion and enthusiasm shows through in your valiant efforts to get this industry heading in the right direction.

Thanks Barry and also thank you David for the kind words.

The UAMCC has many roads to travel. We are confident that the blueprint that is being formed around the UAMCC "spirit" will get us down those many roads.

We have much work to do! See you in the trenches
