I bought my TSP, Clorox (5.5% sodim hypochlorite) today. I hesitated on using chlorine bleach previously, as per your pros and cons previously. I am going to say the hell with it, and use it.
I used Oxygen bleach previously (mixed 1 cup of oxy. bleach, 1 cup of laundry detergent to the remainder of the gallon bucket of water). Lukewarm results on the green algae (I had to gently scrub before applying). No results on the black streaky algae.
I then tried 50/50 oxygen bleach and water on the black streaky algae. Although I could hear a pop fizzing sound when I applied this, I didn't really see any results. I didn't rinse after that 2nd time. I am starting to realize that Oxygen bleach is the "gentle", not "tough" cleaner.
Last year I used Moss buster, and I had not bad results. The whole yard smelt like spices for a week or so. I also used a Home Hardware product as well. Moss buster wasn't too bad on the green algae, but I had to spend over 100 dollars to get the product here in Canada for 1 gallon. Free trade, eh!
I hope this works |

| Bleach does work on a roof and 15-20 min will be good enough to clean it. I would however watch the paint on your house though as it can affect that. Just be careful when you throw on the bleach. |

| tsp will remove paint and that is why I chose not to add it to my roof cleaning solution. |

| Pressure washing can be a quick, easy way to clean your car, driveway, deck or siding. However, the powerful stream of water can also inflict damage if not handled properly. By learning a few techniques and principles, you'll get the job done more quickly and won't risk harming your home or family in the process. |
