How should pavers be cleaned? Can a whirl-a-way / whisper wash / deck scrubber be used to clean them? why or why not?
Will losing sand due to pressure washing hurt the pavers?
Will applying chlorine and jomax hurt the pavers? If so, what other chemical should be used?
Any other advice on cleaning pavers would be great. Thanks guys! |

Any of those cleaning methods and chemicals will work. The sand will be blown out of the pavers for sure but that is how we clean them. Usually there is weeds and or mold growing up through the sand anyway.
We typically sell a clean and seal so we go back and put new sand down and seal the pavers. |

I assume then that the seal locks the sand in place then.
What kind of sand is it? can you buy it at like a lowes or something?
thanks |

Yes it solidifies the sand and leaves the pavers with a wet glossy look.
You can buy the sand most anywhere. It is called baby sand (very fine). We pour it right on the pavers and then broom it around until all the cracks are filled. Then we blow off the excess with a leaf blower and then apply the sealer using a Chapin pump up sprayer. Works great! |
