|
|
So many people, including inexperienced pressure washers, rely too heavily on water pressure to do the cleaning. Two major problems are caused by this; the first is the risk of damage to your home’s vinyl, deck, roof, window screens and so on. The second problem is; because they are relying on pressure they are not using effective cleaners if any. Due to this, contaminants like mold, mildew and algae are just blasted away but are not killed meaning they will grow back in several months time.
It is vital to use the correct cleaners so that these contaminants are killed. Using effective cleaners also means low pressure methods can be used during the cleaning process eradicating the risk of damage.
Make certain the pressure washer company you hire uses contractor grade cleaners and low pressure methods. |

| yeah ... its quite imp that u use right type of washing material so that all the contaminants and germs are properly killed... also using a wron chemical might prove to be harmful! and after the application of the chemical...wash out the chemical thoroughly just to avoid any left out residue! |

| We had a "friend of a friend" wash our house before. He didn't use any house cleaners from my memory. The green mold that he blasted off came back within a year. Like you said he did not kill it so it came back quick. |

| This happens a lot and the homeowner doesn't know any different. When it comes back the following year they call the same guy again to come clean it. So it becomes an every year thing, but if it is killed and removed with the proper cleaners then it stays away for much longer. |

| I had no idea that you were supposed to use a cleaner with the pressure washer. Shows how much I know! I was totally planning to just use the pressure to fire off the dirt.....I guess I'll do some more research now or go with the pros to do it right! |

| If I am able, I always like to do cleaning jobs myself. Sometimes the services of a professional are required but if I'm capable I enjoy the reward of doing it on my own. Now I think I've found the right mix of pressure and washer to do the job. What I'm wondering about now is are there vinyl accents, or things like my bath fans in danger of getting damaged or leaking water during the wash? |

| Not really as long as you're careful. You can also cover them with a plastic garbage bag if it makes you feel better. |

| A pressure washer is a mechanical sprayer that uses high-pressure water to clean and remove mold, grime, dust, mud, and dirt from surfaces and objects such as buildings, vehicles, and concrete road surfaces. Pressure washers for home use offer the benefit of cleaning better with less effort and in less time. Consider purchasing a light-duty consumer, heavy-duty consumer or professional model pressure washer for your personal needs. |
