|
|
| Is deck cleaning something that should be done on an annual basis like having the house washed? Also, not sure if this is the right place to ask, but how often should the waterproofing be applied? I'm planning on having a deck built and like to know what I'm getting into in advance. Thanks |

It really depends on the area, climate, sun exposure, and things of that nature. For example a deck by a lake or pond would be more susceptible to mold and mildew from the extra amount of moisture.
Generally speaking though, most decks should be maintained every two years. That's a cleaning and sealing both. When done properly the deck shouldn't look horrible after two years but just in need of a maintenance wash and seal. A good two year deck maintenance program means the customer's deck will look good all the time. |

| Well, I live out here in Utah where the summers are really hot and the sun can be pretty intense, but fortunately, it's a dry heat. Then during the winter, there's a pretty substantial amount of snow. Will the two year maintenance plan still work? Thanks in advance. |

| Most likely it would work, but a professional deck cleaning contractor in your area could let you know for sure. |
