We just took care of a customer that had the company "Mr Handyman" out to wash her house. There was a lot of mold, mildew, and irrigation rust. They told her they could remove all the rust and that the whole job would take 3 hours (they charge by the hour).

She called us and was talking to me asking lots of questions literally as the Mr Handyman outfit was there "trying" to wash the house. I educated her about proper methods and cleaners, at the time I didn't know someone was there washing it. She said she would call me back in 10 minutes.

She called back and told me she just fired the two Handyman guys and wanted me to come out and clean it professionally. Apparently they worked for 2 hours on just one side of the house and didn't even remove the rust. The went to the store and came back with CLR. The homeowner said she couldn't believe they went and bought the same stuff she had in the garage. That's when she knew they were not professional and had no clue what they were doing.

We cleaned her house removing all the mold, mildew, and irrigation rust. She was very happy when we were done and pretty relieved. She said she learned her lesson and would always hire a full time professional pressure washing company in the future.

Maybe Mr Handyman should stick to fixing doorknobs!

I agree that the Handyman services are not too good at certain things. It seems like an industry that used to change doorknobs or maybe install a window is now trying to do too much.
